New Delhi. The fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Rohit Sharma opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal, whereas in the second test and third match of the series, he came to bat in the middle order. Even after the change in the batting order, the Indian captain’s poor form in Test matches continued. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 3 runs in just 5 balls. So far he has scored only 19 runs in this series and it is estimated that Rohit Sharma’s Test career may be over.
According to the report of news agency PTI, selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar is currently in Melbourne and can talk to Rohit Sharma about his future in Test cricket. The Indian captain has scored only 155 runs in the last 8 Tests at an average of 11.07. The report also said that if India does not qualify for the final of the 2025 World Test Championship, then the fifth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar series in Sydney could be Rohit Sharma’s last Test match.
