The Sensex is trading at 75,380 with a decline of more than 550 points on the first trading day of the week i.e. on February 17. The Nifty also falls by 150 points, trading at 22,750 levels.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 23 declines and 7 declines. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 34 declines and 16 declines. The IT sector of the NSE Sectoral Index is the biggest decline of 0.83%.
Mixed business for Asian markets
- Korea in Korea has a growth of 0.74% in the Asian market. Hong Kong’s Hangseng declined by 0.16% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.083%.
- On February 14, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 4,294.69 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 4,363.87 crore.
- On 14 February, the US Dow Jones closed down 0.37% to close at 44,546. The S&P 500 index fell 0.0072% to close at 6,114. Nasdaq climbed 0.41%.
The market closed with a decline on Friday
Earlier on Friday, 14 February, the Sensex fell 199 points to close at 75,939 levels. The Nifty also had a decline of 102 points, it closed at 22,929 levels. At the same time, BSE Smallcap fell 1522 points to close at 45,411 levels.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 25 declined and 5 were rose. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 41 declined and 9 was rose. The media sector of the NSE Sectoral Index was the biggest decline of 3.40%.
