These work will be done with new features
According to media reports, after the new feature has come, users will be able to pay electricity-water bills from WhatsApp, will be able to recharge mobile and pay their fare. It will be integrated into the company’s current UPI-based payment system Whatsapp Pay. Currently, only on WhatsApp is available to send money to the contact and pay the business through UPI. There is a preparation to expand it in the coming days.
Whatsapp Pay was approved some time ago
Whatsapp Pay was a short time ago from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to launch UPI service for all its users. Earlier, a limit of 10 crore users was imposed on the company, but now it has been removed. However, Whatsapp Pay is still not able to reach the old limit and has managed to gather about 5.1 million users, which is about 10 percent of its total user base.
The match is tough for Whatsapp Pay
The contest in the field of digital payment in India is very tough and whatsapp pay will have to face a tough challenge here. Currently, PhonePe is at the forefront here with about 48 percent market share. Google Pay is the second largest company with 37 percent market share.
