Detective Branch of Bangladesh Police has detained 2 film actresses on Thursday. The names of these two actresses are Meher Afroz Shaun and Sohana Saba. Both are a well -known face of the Bangladeshi film industry.
According to the report of Dhaka Tribune, there have been allegations of treason against Meher, while the allegations against Sohana have not been informed yet.
According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Malik, he has been detained for questioning on the basis of Intel. He was taken to DB office on Mintu Road, Dhaka, the capital.
Talking to the news agency ANI over the phone, Malik said that we have received some information. Based on this, we have detained Meher for questioning.

Meher Afroz’s father burnt the house
On Thursday, the house of Mohammad Ali, the father of Meher Afroz and former advisor of Jamalpur District Awami League, was crashed and set on fire. The incident took place at around 6:30 pm in the area of Narudi railway station.
According to the report of Dhaka Tribune, students and local people took out a procession in Narudi market on Thursday evening. After a while the procession reached Mohammad Ali’s house. After this, the attackers threw bricks and stones at Meher’s father’s house and later set fire.
Meher’s father contested for a ticket in Jamalpur-5 (Sadar) seat in the last election. But due to lack of tickets from the party, he could not contest elections. Meher’s mother, Tahura Ali, was a Awami League MP from the reserved seat in 1996.
Meher criticized the interim government of Bangladesh on Facebook. He is the famous actress, director, choreographer and plback singer of Bangladesh.
Meher received the National Award for Best Playback Singer for the film Krishnapaksha (2016) in 2016. He is a famous director and writer. Humayun is the wife of Ahmed.
Protesters burnt Hasina’s father’s house Sheikh Hasina addressed her supporters on Facebook on Wednesday night. Violence erupted in many cities of Bangladesh before his speech.
The protesters attacked and vandalized Dhanmandi-32 residence in Dhaka of ‘Bangabandhu’, father of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and founder of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On Thursday morning, Sheikh Hasina’s house ‘Sudha Sadan’ was also set on fire.
On the other hand, Sheikh Hasina’s cousin Sheikh Sohail, Sheikh Jelle’s houses have been demolished by two bulldozers in Khulna. Regarding this violence, Sheikh Hasina said that a structure can be erased, but history cannot be eradicated.
Why violence erupted?
In fact, Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League appealed to her workers and leaders to hit the road on 6 February. The party had called for registering alleged cases against former PM Hasina and marching against the attack on minorities.
Yesterday, 6 months of Sheikh Hasina leaving Bangladesh have been completed. Sheikh Hasina was going to give an online speech for her supporters at 9 pm.
Earlier, the student organization named ’24 Revolutionary Student-Janata ‘announced to take out the’ bulldozer march ‘at 9 pm in protest. For this, publicity was done on social media. It was said to be demolished by Sheikh Hasina’s father’s house, but the protesters reached Dhanmandi-32 at the house of Sheikh Mujiburrrahman at 8 am and started sabotage.
