Budget 2025 smartphones and LCD LED tv prices to come down know more details

Budget 2025 has been introduced by the Central Government today. This is the 8th consecutive budget introduced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In the budget, many important announcements have been made about technology related things. For example, a tax exemption has been declared on the components of the phone, which will reduce the cost to become a smartphone. This will have a direct effect that smartphones will now be cheaply in the country. Basic custom duty has decreased, which will also reduce the prices of ALCD and LED TV.

In Budget 2025, the Finance Ministry has given relief keeping in mind the demand of smartphone companies in which she was demanding to reduce import duty. The lithium ion battery used in mobile phones will also be cheaper. Sitharaman said in the speech that 35 additional capital goods for electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing and 28 additional capital goods for mobile phone battery manufacturing have been proposed. In these, domestic manufacturers who make lithium-ion batteries will be given place. With this, mobile batteries can be made cheaply in the country, so that users will directly benefit from it as low prices.

Similarly, the duty on electronics items was also asked to reduce. After this decision of the Finance Ministry, electronic products made in India will now become cheap as their cost will decrease. It is proposed to reduce duty on open cells and other components. However, it is worth noting that to promote Make in India initiative, the government has decided to increase the basic custom duty on interactive flat panel display from 10% to 20%. This will make the displays made in premium smart TV expensive.

In Budget 2025, PCBA parts, camera modules, connectors, raw materials of wired headsets, microphones and receivers, USB kalab, fingerprint reader, custom duty on mobile phone sensors have been abolished. Due to this, the prices of smartphones can be reduced.
