MG Motor Gets Big Increase in Sales, Windsor EV Continues Strong Performance


MG Motor, which has a large stake in the market of electric vehicles (EV), has increased by 256 percent on a year-by-year basis in January. In January, MG Motor sold around 4,455 units. Electric vehicles hold about 70 percent of the company’s sales. Windsor EV launched last year has a major contribution in this.

A media Report According to, the sales of MG Motor have come down by about 40 percent on a month-by-month basis. Windsor EV is included in the best selling electric vehicles. At the end of the previous year, Windsor EV crossed the sales figure of 10,000 units. Recently its prices were increased by about Rs 50,000. The company’s portfolio of the company’s electric vehicles also includes COMET EV and ZS EV. MG Motor also plans to launch some new models in the EV segment.

Windsor EV prices have increased from Rs 13,99,800 to Rs 15,99,800 (ex-showroom). The company is providing eight years or 1,60,000 km warranty on this electric crossover battery. Windsor EV has received good response from customers. On Dussehra last year, the company started delivery to the customers of Windsor EV. It has LED lights connected to both front and rear. Windsor EV has a sedan comfort and SUV -like space. It has been made available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. This electric crossover competes with the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon Ev. Tata has the highest stake in this segment.

This electric crossover has 18 -inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. Its front is the Mg logo below the LED DRL strip connected to its front. It has a charging port on the front left fender. It has been made available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black. This is the first EV for which the option of battery as a service is given. With this option, the initial price of Windsor EV will decrease. However, an additional battery rental of Rs 3.5 per km will have to be repaid with it.
