External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that Rahul Gandhi lied in the Lok Sabha on his US visit last year. He said that he had gone to meet the Foreign Minister of Biden administration and NSA in December 2024. During this, there was no discussion about PM Modi about American invitation.
In fact, Rahul today referred to the swearing in of US President Trump during a discussion on the President’s address. The Leader of Opposition had said that we do not send the Foreign Minister to call our Prime Minister in swearing in. If our country had a good manufacturing system, if we were working on techniques, the US President himself would have come here and would have invited the Prime Minister to take oath.
On the third day of the budget session in the Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi gave a speech.
Jaishankar said- PM does not attend the swearing-in ceremony Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Modi does not attend the swearing -in ceremony of world leaders or such programs. He said that India represents India in such an event. Jaishankar said that such statements of the opposition leader have damaged India’s image abroad.
Jaishankar said in social media posts-
I went to meet the Foreign Minister of Biden administration and NSA. There I also presided over the meeting of our diplomats. After this, the then Foreign Minister and NSA met me. During this time, the invitation was not discussed at the swearing -in ceremony of the Prime Minister at any level.
External Affairs Minister Blinkan, Jaishankar met NSA Sulivan Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar was on a tour of America from 24–29 December. This was America’s first high -level trip from India after Donald Trump won the presidential election. Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinkan. During this time, both of them discussed the progress of the US-India partnership in four years of the Biden administration.
Jaishankar met the US Secretary of State in Washington on 27 December.
Jaishankar also met the US National Security Advisor in Washington on 27 September.
Earlier in the day, the Foreign Minister met National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sulivan. After this meeting, Jaishankar had told that the Indo-US strategic partnership and recent regional and global events were discussed between the two.
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also presided over the conference of Indian Consumer Funds in the US. He became the first Foreign Minister to preside over such conference.
