The African country of Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) has been in struggle in the army and rebel Group M23 for several days. According to the news agency AP, on Tuesday i.e. Tuesday, the rebels captured Goma. After this, he announced a one -sided ceasefire.

There are many natural minerals in Goma city with a population of about 20 lakhs. The fighters of the rebel organization M23, who attacked it, have the support of neighboring country Rwanda. After Goma, these rebels are moving towards the city of Bukavu.

According to UN experts, the M23 rebels have the support of about 4000 soldiers of neighboring Rwanda. More than 100 rebel organizations are active in the eastern region of Congo. Among them, M23 is the largest organization.
Conflict between Tutsi and Hutu tribes has been going on in the Congo for several decades. M23 says that he is protecting the caste. According to media reports, in 1994, Hutu and some violent organizations attacked 8 lakh tuts in Rwanda and killed many people. After this, many Tutsi fled to Congo.

The rebellious faction M23 also temporarily captured Goma in 2012. Later, due to international pressure, later retreated. However, from the end of 2021, this faction started spreading his feet here once again.
The Congo government and the UN have accused Rwanda of supporting the rebels. However, Rwanda has dismissed these allegations.
Rwanda’s Foreign Ministry accused Congo of failing to interact with M23. The ministry said that-
This failure has prolonged the fight, which is a serious threat to Rwanda’s safety and regional integrity.

Indian Embassy released security advisory
Two days ago on Sunday, the Indian Embassy issued security advisory for Indians living in Congo. The Indian Embassy from the capital Kinshasa had said that we are also finding it difficult to help people in the current situation. In such a situation, everyone is advised to keep their emergency plan ready at the individual level. Indian citizens living in the city of Bukavu and South Kivu should move to safe places.
