The biggest risk for the Australian team has been Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has taken the most wickets in all three test matches so far. While Australian batsmen appear helpless against Bumrah, former cricketer Salmon Katich has extended a helping hand to his team’s batsmen.
The Boxing Day Test match will be played between India and Australia from 26th December. So far, three matches have been played between the two teams under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, in which till now both the teams are tied at 1-1. The biggest risk for the Australian team in this series has been Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has taken the most wickets in all three test matches so far. While Australian batsmen appear helpless against Bumrah, former cricketer Salmon Katich has extended a helping hand to his team’s batsmen.
Katiz has advised the host team to focus on rotating the strike and strong defense to be successful against Bumrah. Katich said that Bumrah rarely bowls loose balls so the Australian player should work on his point of view and strategy.
“I know it’s all about more positive intentions and I think that’s fine and it’s definitely something that they should keep in mind,” Katich told SEN1116. But against a player like Bumrah, the intention is not just about hitting him for fours because he does not bowl very badly. “So a big part of that intent has to be to be able to rotate the strike and have very good defense because if you are not there after the tenth over then you are not going to be able to play with any intent. This is a challenge for all these players.
