Melbourne. Indian team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has troubled the host team in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Even before the Boxing Day Test, the Australian camp is trying to find a solution to deal with this giant. 19-year-old batsman Sam Constas is planning a strategy to deal with the world’s most lethal bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the Boxing Day Test match against India.
The five-match series between India and Australia is currently tied at 1-1. The fourth test match will be played from 26 December. Constas said on Monday, “I have prepared a strategy to deal with Bumrah but I will not reveal it here. I will try to put pressure on the bowlers.
Constas has been included in the Australian team in place of Nathan McSweeney, who was dismissed by Bumrah in four out of five innings in the first three Test matches. After this he was dropped from the Australian team. Bumrah did not play in the two practice matches in which Constas had scored runs. He said, “All are good bowlers. They are all world class bowlers and I am looking forward to facing their challenge.
When asked what he used to do on Christmas Eve a few years ago, Constas said, “I used to play cricket with my brother in the backyard and eat a lot of food. Getting the opportunity to play Test cricket at such a young age is wonderful and my dream of representing the country has come true.
Constas’ entire family will be present at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to witness his debut in Test cricket. He said, “It has become a special day for me with the arrival of my parents. My plan is very simple, believe in myself and enjoy the game to the fullest.
