New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tish said that the accused had set fire to a white dress of the woman with a lighter. Due to the fire, the cloth got burnt to ashes within a few seconds. After this the fire spread to other clothes of the woman.
After setting the fire, the accused got down from the metro and sat at the station. Sitting on the platform, he was watching the woman burning. The victim woman has not been identified yet.
