New Delhi. Mukesh Kumar has started showing his amazing bowling skills as soon as he returned to India. Fast bowler Mukesh helped Bengal win by 6 wickets in the very first match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. The Indian Cricket Board had sent Mukesh and two other fast bowlers from Australia to India even before the fourth Test match of the series against Australia. BCCI said that the reason for releasing these reserve players from the team was to play them in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The board felt that now the Indian team is not going to need reserve players in Australia because only two Tests are left in the series and Right now the Indian team has 5 fast bowlers which are enough. As soon as Mukesh returned to India, he proved his worth with match-winning bowling.
In the Group E match played in Hyderabad itself, young wicketkeeper batsman Abhishek Porel played an inning of 170 runs and Indian fast bowler Mukesh Kumar took 4 wickets, due to which Bengal defeated Delhi by 6 wickets. Recorded victory. Bengal achieved Delhi’s target of 272 runs in 41.3 overs. Mukesh gave 66 runs in 10 overs and sent 4 Bengal players to the pavilion. Mukesh also took the wickets of Delhi’s two openers Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Kandpal along with Himmat Singh and Harsh Tyagi.
