- Infosys Q2 Results 2024 Update; Share Price | Revenue, Net Profit And Dividend

India’s second largest IT company Infosys has made a profit of Rs 6,506 crore in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25. There has been an increase of 4.7% on annual basis. The company had made a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,212 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The company generated revenue of Rs 40,986 crore in the July-September quarter. There has been an increase of 5.1% on annual basis. A year ago i.e. in Q2 FY23-24, the tech company had generated a revenue of Rs 38,994 crore. The money received from selling goods and services is revenue.
Profit increased by 2.2% on quarterly basis
Whereas, in the last quarter (Q1FY-25) the company had generated a revenue of Rs 39,315 crore. During this period the company had made a net profit of Rs 6,368 crore. On a quarterly basis, revenue has increased by 4.2% and profit by 2.2%.
Infosys will give dividend of Rs 21 per share
The board of Infosys has also approved an interim dividend of Rs 21 per share to the shareholders. Companies give some part of the profits to their shareholders, it is called dividend.
Nandan Nilekani started the company with Rs 21,000
Founded in 1981, Infosys is a NYSE listed global consulting and IT services company. The company was started with a capital of 250 dollars (approximately Rs 21,000 as of today). Today its market cap is Rs 7.28 lakh crore.
The 40 year old company has more than 1800 customers in more than 56 countries. It has 13 subsidiary companies across the world. The founder of the company is Nandan M. Nilekani. The CEO and managing director is Salil Parekh. D Sundaram is the Lead Independent Director.
