New Delhi. China has made a big disclosure regarding an incident that happened with America’s nuclear submarine in the year 2021. It was claimed that an American submarine was trapped in a huge tornado about 200 kilometers in the sea. Now this information is coming to light after the Chinese operation was declassified i.e. became public. It was told that in September 2021, China had started a campaign to search for this huge tornado which was about 200 kilometers wide. This storm appeared east of the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.
According to the report of South China Morning Post, China’s most advanced vessel i.e. research vessel and a large drone fleet were sent there for research. This team went to investigate and track this tornado from the air, sea surface and underwater. It was claimed that at around the same time, the US Navy’s Seawolf-class nuclear powered submarine USS Connecticut also reached there. This submarine collided with some unknown object on October 2, 2021 and was badly damaged. During the investigation, the US Investigation Military Team found the officers and crew present on the ship guilty of negligence in this incident.
China team did not help
The lives of the people trapped in the American submarine were in danger, but Chinese Navy officials did not come forward to help them. The Chinese Navy has now made this incident public after three years and published it in the Chinese language academic general journal Scientia Sinica Terra last month. However, it is still not clear whether there is any connection between the collision of the American submarine and the whirlpool.
Tracked the tornado for a month
China tracked this tornado from September 15 to September 22. The collision occurred on October 2, 10 days after the tornado formed. The US Navy then suffered serious damage to the submarine. A satellite image taken on October 3 showed the submarine floating on the surface of the ocean 42.8 nautical miles south-east of the Paracel Islands.
