The rope got burnt but the twist didn’t go away! What did Canadian PM Justin Trudeau say against India, read the full statement

Ottawa: Relations between India and Canada have turned sour. India expelled six Canadian diplomats on Monday. Apart from this, it was announced to recall its High Commissioner from Canada and other diplomats and officials who were being targeted. After this action of India, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got very angry. He gave sharp statements regarding India.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, “Canada is a country based on the rule of law, and the safety of our citizens is paramount. Therefore, when our law enforcement and intelligence services began to make credible allegations that Indian government agents were directly involved in the murder of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar, we responded immediately.”

What allegations did Trudeau make?
he adds. “We shared our concerns with the Government of India and requested their cooperation on this important issue. Additionally, police and security agencies used all their resources to protect Canadian citizens. “Today, based on the evidence presented by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), we are taking additional steps to protect Canadians.”

Trudeau further said in his statement, “As RCMP Commissioner Mike Duhem said earlier today, the RCMP has clear and convincing evidence that agents of the Government of India are engaged in activities that pose a serious threat to public safety. This included covert intelligence gathering techniques, coercive behavior targeting South Asian Canadian citizens, and dozens of threatening and violent acts, including murder. this is unacceptable.

The Canadian Prime Minister further said, “Although the RCMP and national security officials have attempted to work with the Government of India and Indian law enforcement partners on this matter, they have been repeatedly rebuffed. So, this weekend, Canadian officials took an extraordinary step. He met with Indian officials and shared evidence with the RCMP, which concluded that six Indian government agents were persons of interest in criminal activities. And despite repeated requests, the Indian government has refused to cooperate. “Since the Indian government is still refusing to cooperate, my colleague, Foreign Minister Mélanie Jolie, had only one option.”

Will stand for the rights of Canadian citizens- Trudeau
He further said, “Today, they issued deportation notices for these six persons. They will have to leave Canada. They will no longer be able to work as diplomats in Canada, and will not be able to re-enter Canada for any reason. To be clear, the evidence uncovered by the RCMP cannot be ignored. This leads to the same conclusion: it is essential to disrupt the criminal activities that continue to threaten public safety in Canada. So we took action. “Because we will always – first and foremost – stand up for the right of Canadians to feel safe and secure in their own country.”

Trudeau further said in his statement, “We will never tolerate any foreign government engaging in the bullying and killing of Canadian citizens on Canadian soil – this is a deeply unacceptable violation of Canadian sovereignty and international law. Once again, we call on the Government of India to cooperate with us in this investigation – to end its inaction and misleading rhetoric; “In recognition of the credibility and seriousness of the evidence and information shared so far.”
