Fast bowler Matthew Potts has been included in England’s eleven in place of Gus Atkinson. Stokes has replaced fast bowler Chris Woakes while the team has retained both spinners Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach in their eleven.
According to the England team management, Stokes has bowled and batted without any problems during net sessions in the last few days. Medical experts have cleared him to return. The 33-year-old all-rounder suffered the injury while playing in ‘The Hundred’ in August. Due to this injury, he could not play the opening Test of this tour of Pakistan after the three-match home series against Sri Lanka. Pakistan has not yet announced its final eleven. However, the selectors on Sunday dropped Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah from the remaining two Tests. Along with this, Sarfaraz Ahmed was also dropped from the team.
