Secretary of Gangotri Temple Committee, Suresh Semwal said that the doors of the temple will be closed at 12.14 pm on November 2 on Annakoot festival. At the same time, the priest of Yamunotri temple, Rawal Ashish Uniyal said that the doors of the temple will be closed on November 3 on Bhai Dooj. The time of closing the doors will be decided as per tradition on the day of Dussehra on 12th October.
After the closure of the doors of Gangotri temple, the idol of Mother Ganga will be kept in a palanquin and taken to Mukhba village and the idol of Goddess Yamuna will be taken to Kharsali village. He will be worshiped here in winter.

Former Goa RSS chief Subhash Velingkar appeared before the police for the second consecutive day on Friday. Goa’s Bicholim police have registered a case against Velingkar for his remarks against St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa.
Velingkar said- I appeared before the investigating officer and gave all the information. I am cooperating with the police. On Thursday, Velingkar has filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court.
Actually, Velingkar had said that DNA test should be done on the remains of Catholic missionary St. Francis Xavier. He said that this saint cannot be called “Goyancho Sayab” (patron of Goa).
Shell explodes during firing practice in Nashik, 2 firefighters killed
Two firefighters were killed when a shell from an Indian field gun exploded during firing practice at an artillery center in Maharashtra’s Nashik district. The incident took place in Nashik Road area on Thursday afternoon. The names of the firefighters who died in the explosion are Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21).
A team of firemen was firing from an Indian field gun when a shell exploded. Both of them sustained injuries and were taken to MH Hospital in Devlali, where they were declared brought dead, the officer said. Accident during Durga Puja celebrations in Assam, 4 children killed in car collision

Woman molested on Indigo flight from Delhi to Chennai; Accused arrested from airport on complaint
A man has been arrested for molesting a female passenger on a Delhi-Chennai Indigo Airlines flight. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Sharma, who works as a marble tile layer by profession. Rajesh was arrested after landing at Chennai airport on October 9.

5 prisoners escape from Morigaon jail in Assam; Jumped 20 feet wall by making a rope from sheet, blanket and lungi

30 students fell ill after eating sandwiches in Pune, admitted to hospital
