There has been a decline in the stock market today i.e. on 15th October. Sensex closed at 81,820 with a fall of 152 points. Nifty also fell by 70 points, closing at 25,057.
Today, a huge decline has been seen in metal, auto and banking shares. There was a rise in energy and FMCG shares. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 have seen a rise and 9 have seen a decline.
Mixed business in Asian market
- There has been a decline in the Asian market today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 3.67% and China’s Shanghai Composite index fell 2.53%.
- On October 14, America’s Dow Jones rose 0.47% to 43,065 and Nasdaq closed 0.87% to 18,502. The S&P 500 also rose 0.77% to 5,859.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,731 crore on October 14. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹2,278 crore.
