Rahul Dravid’s son Samit out of playing XI, did not get a chance in the fourth consecutive match, what is the reason?


New Delhi. Samit, son of former Indian cricket team coach and captain Rahul Dravid, also wants to make a name like his father. On the basis of his talent, he has made a place in the Under-19 team but he is not able to join the playing eleven. The Indian team is playing Youth ODI and Test series against Australia. Samit did not get a place in the playing eleven in the ODI series. Due to injury before the test, he could not make it to the final eleven.

Australia Under-19 team reached India to play three ODIs and two Test matches. On the basis of his good performance in domestic cricket, Rahul Dravid’s son Samit made it to the Indian Under-19 team. He was not given a place in the playing eleven for the first three ODI matches. India made a clean sweep of the series by defeating Australia’s Under-19 team in all three ODI matches.

Why did Samit not get a place in Test XI?
The coach and captain did not give Samit a place in the team for the ODI series. It was expected that he would be given a chance against the Australia Under-19 team in the Test series. He got injured just before the match. While giving an update on his injury, coach Hrishikesh Kanetkar had said that Samit has not yet recovered from his knee injury. He is currently undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy.

India won the ODI series
India won the 3-match ODI series 3-0 against Australia Under-19 team. The Indian team won the first match by 7 wickets while in the second match it won one-sidedly by 9 wickets. The third match was close and India won by a margin of 7 runs.
