Washington. The campaign for the US presidential election is in full swing. Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris said on Friday that she is different from incumbent President Joe Biden because she ‘represents a new generation’.
Presidential elections are to be held in the country in November. ‘Presidential debate’ is an important part of this election… This debate took place on Wednesday between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, in which Harris appeared to have an edge over Trump.
Meanwhile, in her first interview to a TV channel after becoming the party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris criticized Donald Trump’s ‘hateful and divisive’ speech and said, ‘I feel that people are now ‘tired’ of the kind of leadership style that Trump adopts.’
Brian Taff, a Philadelphia news channel anchor at WPVI-TV, asked Harris to name one or two areas where she considers herself different from Biden. Harris said, ‘Look, I am not Joe Biden and I represent the new generation.’ She said that things that were once taken lightly can no longer be ignored.
Harris said, ‘For example, I have a plan which is based on a new vision. Under this, I want to increase the ‘Child Tax Credit’ for families up to US$ 6,000 till their child is one year old, because this year is very important for the development of the child and hence my vision is about new ideas, new policies keeping in mind the current times.
He said, ‘Honestly, my focus is on what we need to do in the next 10, 20 years to keep pace with the 21st century, which includes enhancing our capabilities as well as challenges.’
