The final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament between Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. This is the same ground where Rajat Patidar plays half of his matches in IPL. Rajat Patidar was one of the three players who were retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore. This trusted player of Virat Kohli’s team RCB fulfilled the trust of his team well in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He batted firmly at one end against Mumbai, when wickets kept falling from the other end.

Rajat gave a score worth fighting for
Madhya Pradesh scored 174 runs for 8 wickets thanks to the strong batting of Rajat Patidar. How big a role Rajat Patidar played in taking Madhya Pradesh to this point can be gauged from the fact that no other batsman of the team could score even 25 runs. Shubhranshu Senapati (23) was the second top scorer of the team. Rahul Batham scored 19, Venkatesh Iyer scored 17 and Harpreet Singh scored 15 runs.
21 year old Suryansh was the hero of victory
Almost every batsman scored runs for the Mumbai team chasing the target. Suryakumar Yadav (48) was the top scorer of the team, but Suryansh Shedge proved to be the real hero of the match. Shedge played an unbeaten inning of 36 runs when Mumbai had lost 5 wickets for 129 runs. 21 year old Suryansh Shedge played a stormy inning of 36 runs in just 16 balls. Before this, Ajinkya Rahane scored 37 runs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Atharva Ankolkar scored 16 runs each, while Prithvi Shaw was out after scoring 10 runs and Shivam Dubey was out after scoring 9 runs.
