New Delhi. Guyana Amazon Warriors, captained by Imran Tahir, registered a thrilling win in the second match of the Caribbean Premier League. The match was decided on the last ball. In the match played at Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua, Dwayne Pretorius turned the tables in the last over. He snatched victory from the jaws of the opposition team by hitting 18 runs in one over of Falcons’ fast bowler Mohammad Aamir. The Chris Green-led Antigua and Barbuda Falcons team seemed to be winning but the victory slipped out of their hands in the last over. Pretorius dashed the hopes of Falcons’ victory by hitting a six on the last ball.

Guyana Amazon Warriors needed 16 runs in the last over to win. Dwaine Pretorius was on strike. Antigua and Barbuda Falcons put fast bowler Mohammad Aamir on the front in the last over. Pretorius did not take any run on the first ball of Aamir’s over. He hit the second ball out of the boundary for a four. Pretorius hit another four on the third ball. The fourth ball was a dot. Pretorius sent the fifth ball across the boundary for a four. Now Warriors needed 4 runs on the last ball. Pretorius hit a six and gave his team a thrilling victory.

Falcons scored 168 runs for 6 wickets
Batting first, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons team scored 168 runs for 6 wickets. Fakhar Zaman and Imad Wasim scored 40-40 runs from their side. Kofi James contributed 37 runs while Billings and Jewel Andrew contributed 10-10 runs. Fabian Allen scored 11 runs in 15 balls. Gudakesh Moti took the maximum of 3 wickets from Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Chasing the target of 169 runs, Guyana Amazon Warriors scored 171 runs for 7 wickets. Shai Hope scored 41 runs for the Warriors while Romariya Shepherd scored 32 runs in 16 balls.
