Women’s Cricket: England’s record-breaking win, first scored 300+, then bowled out the opposing team for 45 runs

New Delhi. England’s women’s cricket team has registered a record-breaking victory. England defeated Ireland’s women’s team by a huge margin of 275 runs. With this, it broke its 31-year-old record. Earlier, England’s women’s team’s biggest victory was by 239 runs. It defeated Denmark by this margin in 1993.

An ODI match was played between England and Ireland women’s teams in Belfast on Sunday. England batted first and scored 320 runs for 8 wickets. Opener Tammy Beaumont played an invaluable innings of 150 runs for the English team. She hit 16 fours and a six in her innings of 139 balls. Beaumont got a great partner in the form of Freya Kemp. Kemp scored 65 runs in 47 balls.

The Ireland team, which came out to chase the difficult target, looked in trouble from the very beginning. It lost its first wicket on one run. Then it was like a fall of wickets. Batters kept coming and going and in about an hour the entire Ireland team was all out. Opener Una Raymond Hoy scored 22 runs for the Irish team. Apart from her, no other batsman could touch double figures. Freya Sergeant was the second top scorer of the team with 7 runs.

For England, Kate Cross and Lauren Filler took three wickets each. Freya Kemp and Georgia Davis took two wickets each. The English bowlers dominated the match to such an extent that the Irish team was all out for just 45 runs in 16.5 overs.

Pakistan’s biggest defeat
If we talk about the record of the biggest victory in ODI in women’s cricket, then this achievement is in the name of New Zealand. New Zealand women’s team defeated Pakistan women’s team by 408 runs in 1997. Pakistan’s team was out on 47 runs while chasing the target of 456 runs in this match. In this way, Pakistan has the biggest defeat in ODI in women’s cricket.
