If an app uses special character in the transaction ID, the central system will cancels that payment. The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) issued these guidelines for business users, but it is also going to affect common customers.

NPCI wants to make the process of generating IDs standard standard. Therefore, it has ordered all companies to add only alphanumeric characters to the transaction ID. These orders will come into effect from 1 February. This means that if an app does not follow these orders, then the payment will not be completed through UPI. The responsibility of following the orders has been put on the apps only.

NPCI had earlier issued orders to make this process standard. In the orders that came in March last year, it was said to make the transaction ID in 35 characters. Earlier, there were 4 to 35 characters in the transaction ID. In view of this, it was said to generate the ID of 35 characters. & Nbsp;

UPI’s stake in digital payment reached 83 percent

UPI’s stake in the country’s total digital payment has doubled to 83 percent in five years. In 2019, its stake in total payment was 34 percent. This information has been received from a report by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In contrast, transactions through NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, Credit and Debit Card have reduced to 17 percent of the total digital payment. His stake in 2019 was 66 percent.
