New Delhi. Team India’s former explosive opener Virender Sehwag is proud of the wonderful achievement of his younger son Vedant. Sehwag’s younger son bowled brilliantly in the Vijay Merchant Trophy. Vedanta took maximum 24 wickets in 5 matches. 14-year-old Vedant achieved this position while playing for Under-16 Delhi in Vijay Merchant Trophy 2024-25. Seeing the brilliant performance of his younger son, father Virender Sehwag was heartbroken. Expressing happiness over his son’s success, Sehwag wrote that you have done a wonderful job. Veeru’s elder son Aryaveer is making his career as a batsman while Vedant is emerging as an off-spinner. Vedant’s elder brother Aryaveer had recently won a lot of applause by playing a brilliant inning of 297 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy.

Vedant took 5 wicket haul twice
Vedant Sehwag took 5 wickets in an innings twice in the Vijay Merchant Trophy and twice he also took 4 wickets in an innings. Vedant was the highest wicket taker from Delhi side. He was the only bowler from his team to take 10 wickets or more. Except Vedant, no other bowler from Delhi could take 10 wickets in the entire tournament. In the video, Vedant is bowling like a skilled bowler. It is becoming difficult for the batsmen to play his balls. Tall Vedant is emerging as a threat to the batsmen with his off-spin bowling.
Elder son missed triple century by 3 runs
Virender Sehwag’s elder son Aryaveer had played an inning of 297 runs while playing for Delhi Under-19 team in the Cooch Behar Trophy in November last year. Aryaveer had accomplished this feat at the MCA Cricket Ground in Shillong. Aryaveer bats fearlessly like his father. He hit 51 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. Born in Delhi in 2007, Aryaveer bats explosively like his father.
