How is it decided in the Supreme Court which case should be given to which judge??
In the Supreme Court, cases are given to the bench of judges under certain rules.. The Chief Justice has the power to assign any case to any bench.. Apart from this, there is a roster system in the Supreme Court., Under which certain types of cases are allotted to each judge.. The Registrar’s Office of the Supreme Court plays an important role in the allocation of cases.. This office lists the cases and separates them.–allocates separate benches.

How is the bench decided??
Three types of benches hear the cases in the Supreme Court.. in which single bench, Consists of Division Bench and Constitution Bench. These benches are decided according to the cases. Like in Single Bench only one judge hears the case. This bench is usually for technical and less complex cases. Apart from this, there are two judges in the division bench.. This bench hears more important and difficult cases., In which there is more dispute from legal point of view. After this, the Constitution Bench is constituted by five or more judges and hears only those cases., which require interpretation of the Constitution. This bench is responsible for taking the supreme decision in matters related to the Constitution..
