Indian team’s star batsman Virat Kohli returned to the pavilion cheaply in the first innings of the first test match against Bangladesh. Hasan Mahmud dismissed him in the match being played in Chennai. Virat Kohli hit his bat on a ball going far outside the off stump and the ball took the edge of the bat and went into the wicketkeeper’s gloves. Kohli is returning to test cricket after about 8 months but could not perform as expected in the first innings.

Virat Kohli’s record in Test matches against Bangladesh since 2022 has not been good. Kohli has not scored many runs in the last five innings against Bangladesh and he has been out on single digits thrice. Virat Kohli has scored only 51 runs in the last five innings. Virat Kohli scored his last half-century in Tests against South Africa in December 2023.
