USAID aid to Bangladesh shut down as Donald Trump takes power

Bangladesh News: An order of US President Donald Trump has become a curse for Mohammad Yunus. All the help given to Bangladesh has been stopped with immediate effect.

Dhaka. The game of Mohammad Yunus -led Bangladesh government has overturned the game as soon as Donald Trump took power in America. They do not understand who will support their country now. In fact, the United States Agency Four International Development (USAID) has stopped the help providing to Bangladesh. The incident has come to light after US President Donald Trump suspended all foreign help for 90 days. All this happened after the US foreign department’s “Stop-Work” order on 24 January, which stopped all existing foreign aid and new assistance under Trump’s new executive order of January 20. Only Israel and Egypt are excluded from this list.

According to the NPR, a memo signed by Foreign Minister Marco Rubio states that all foreign aid will be reviewed within 85 days by the government, and then to present that report to the Foreign Minister. Also, the President will be prepared for recommendation. Citing the executive order of Trump’s “Foreign Assistance Re -Review”, the USAID issued a statement to its partners in Bangladesh and directed them to immediately stop any work done under their contract.

The agency said, “This letter to all USAIDs/Bangladesh partners related contracts, work orders, grants, cooperatives, or other acquisitions or other acquisitions or other acquisitions or assistance means to stop, eliminate and/or suspend any work done under the instrument done under the instrument. The USAID also sees a large humanitarian aid portfolio in Bangladesh in response to the Rohingya crisis.
