At least 26,000 people were evacuated from the country’s northern Samar province on Friday and Saturday, according to the country’s state-run Philippine News Agency (PNA). According to the PNA report, 18 thousand people had already been evacuated from Eastern Samar and Samar provinces. Fourth typhoon in a week
The Meteorological Department said that Man-Yi is the fourth typhoon to hit the Philippines in less than two weeks. This has never happened before in the history of the Philippines. Unlike the previous three typhoons, Man-Yi Island hit the southern part of the country. A large population has been affected by this. It is being told that after crossing the city of Catanduanes, it can reach about 110 km north-east of Manila on Sunday afternoon.
