Who is Jill Stein?
Stein is known for her progressive views. She opposes the US veto in the UN Security Council and demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a halt to arms sales to human rights violators. His foreign policy includes a proposal to dismantle NATO and replace it with a “modern, inclusive security architecture.”
However, the impact of third-party candidates is often ignored. Jill Stein of the Green Party and Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party are the two major third-party candidates in this election. Despite the focus being on the two main candidates, Stein appears to be making an impact in some states, where she is attracting people from both major parties to her environmentalist party.
On November 9, 2023, he announced his candidacy by posting a video message on X. Before this, she had also contested elections in 2012 and 2016. He kicked off his campaign by accusing Democrats of “repeatedly breaking promises to working people, youth and the climate — promises that Republicans never make.”
According to USA Today, last year, Stein announced his intention to introduce an “economic bill of rights” for Americans, which would include “the right to jobs, health care, housing, food, education and more.” He also advocated eliminating medical and student loans.
During the 2016 presidential election, Democrats accused Stein of taking votes away from Hillary Clinton in key battleground states. About 1.32 million votes were cast for him that year.
