New Delhi. Team India was announced for the Test series against Bangladesh a few days ago. Team India’s young player Devdutt Paddikal did not get a chance for this tour. He had also performed well in his last match against India. Now by playing a brilliant innings in the Duleep Trophy, he has reminded the team selectors of his name.
Actually, in the ongoing match between India A and India D, Devdutt Padikkal played a brilliant half-century innings. He completed his 50 runs in 74 balls. The good thing is that Devdutt is still unbeaten and is playing well. In his 50-run innings, he scored 32 runs from just boundaries. It remains to be seen how far Devdutt takes his innings.

Devdutt Padikkal made his Test debut for India against England in Dharamsala on 7 March 2024. He came to bat at number 4 for the Rohit Sharma-led side and scored 65 runs off 103 balls. Despite scoring fifty runs on Test debut, he is not part of the Indian team for the first Test against Bangladesh.
