New Delhi. Tata Motors’ cars have already received a 5-star safety rating for better performance in the Global NCAP crash test. Now two Tata electric cars have also received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP for better crash test performance. Actually, Tata Nexon and Punch EV have performed well in the Bharat NCAP crash test, due to which both the cars have received a 5-star safety rating.
Both the cars have scored good marks for adult and child safety. Nexon EV has safety features like frontal-side head curtain, side chest airbag, belt reminder, ISOFIX anchor points and electronic stability control. On the other hand, Punch EV has anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, ISOFIX mount, 6 airbags, three point seat belt safety features for all seats.

Nexon EV has got 29.86 points out of 32 for adult safety. For child safety, it has got 23.95 out of 24 points. In the frontal test, it has got 14.26 points out of 16. In side testing, it has got 15.60 points out of 16. For child occupant protection, it has got 12 out of 12 points. For vehicle assessment, it has got 9 out of 13 points.
Punch EV has got 31.46 points out of 32 for adult safety. At the same time, it has got 45 points out of 49 for child safety. It has got 45 points out of 49 for child safety. It got 14.26 points during the frontal test and 15.6 points for side testing. Punch has got 23.95 points out of 24 for child occupant protection, which included CRS, dynamic test and vehicle assessment.
Punch EV and Nexon EV: What is the range
Tata Nexon EV comes in two variants. Its medium range model comes with a 30kWh battery pack, which has a range of up to 325 kilometers. Its long range model comes with a 40.5kWh battery pack, which has a range of up to 465 kilometers.
Punch EV also comes in two battery pack options. Its 24kWh battery pack model can give a range of up to 315 km. At the same time, the 35kWh battery pack can give a range of up to 421 km.

The price of Nexon Electric is between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh. The price of Punch EV is between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh. These prices are ex-showroom.
