Even if it is the civil service examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, it is also passed. One such feat is of a person who started preparing for the UPSC exam after passing class 12th. As a result, he has been successful in passing the UPSC exam in the first attempt at the age of 22. The person we are talking about is Suchitra Sharma.
Achieved 146th rank in UPSC exam
Suchiter Sharma secured 146th rank in the UPSC exam of the year 2021. He is a resident of Salehar village, nine kilometers away from Bishnah in Jammu district. Sharma started preparing for the UPSC exam as soon as his class 12th board exam was over. As a result, he succeeded in cracking the UPSC Civil Services Exam in his very first attempt. Suchiter Sharma became the youngest IRS officer in the country by passing this exam at the age of just 22.
Completed schooling from Army School
Suchitra Sharma completed her class 12th from Army Public School Ratnuchak. After this, she decided to prepare for the toughest exam in the country. She got her college degree from GGM Science College. Sharma used to travel at least 50 to 60 kilometers daily for his college. Even after spending a long day in college, he used to diligently attend UPSC coaching sessions, which further increased his ambition and desire to excel in his chosen field.
Disaster turned into opportunity
During the COVID-19 lockdown in the year 2020, Suchitra worked hard to achieve her goals. Since almost everyone was at home at that time and had free time during the lockdown, Sharma used this time effectively to work hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a civil servant. Eventually her hard work paid off and she cleared the UPSC exam within 6 days of completing her graduation and became an IRS (IT) officer.
both parents are teachers
Suchiter Sharma’s father Madan Lal Sharma and mother Ritu Mangotra are both teachers. Her cousin Prayas Sharma, who is a respected IAS officer, has always been an inspirational person in her life.
