Today, on September 30, the last trading day of the month, the Sensex opened with a fall of 363 points at the level of 85,208. There is also a decline of 100 points in Nifty, it is trading at the level of 26,060.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 7 are rising and 21 are declining. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 10 are rising and 40 are declining. There is a decline in shares of all sectors except media and metal sectors.
Mixed trading in Asian market today
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei fell by 4.64% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index rose by 2.23%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a gain of 5.18%.
- On September 27, America’s Dow Jones closed at 42,313, up 0.33%. The Nasdaq fell 0.39% to 18,119. The S&P 500 also fell 0.13% to 5,738.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,209.10 crore on September 27. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 6,886.65 crore.

Today is the last day to bid for the Initial Public Offer i.e. IPO of Diffusion Engineers Limited. This issue was opened on 26 September. In the last two trading days, Diffusion Engineers’ IPO was subscribed a total of 27.74 times. The issue was subscribed 34.85 times in the retail category, 0.28 times in the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category and 47.39 times in the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) category.
The company’s shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 4. Diffusion Engineers Limited wants to raise a total of ₹158 crore through this issue. For this, the company is issuing 9,405,000 fresh shares worth ₹ 158 crore. The existing investors of the company are not selling even a single share through Offer for Sale i.e. OFS.
The market had fallen after making an all-time high on Friday
Earlier, on Friday i.e. 27th September, the stock market had made all-time high for the 8th consecutive day. Sensex touched a record level of 85,978 and Nifty 26,277. However, later it saw a decline and the Sensex closed at 85,571 with a fall of 264 points. Nifty also fell by 37 points, it closed at the level of 26,178.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 rose and 15 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 29 rose and 20 declined. Whereas, one stock closed without any change. The maximum decline was 1.55% in the media sector of NSE. Whereas, Oil & Gas had the highest increase of 2.37%.
