The stock market has made an all-time high today i.e. on 25th September for the sixth consecutive day. During trading, Sensex touched the level of 85,247 and Nifty touched the level of 26,032. After this, the Sensex closed at the level of 85,169 with a gain of 255 points.
Nifty also gained 63 points and closed at the level of 26,004. There has been a rise in auto, IT, energy and banking shares. Shares of PowerGrid today closed at Rs 364.20, up Rs 14.15 (4.04%). It was the top gainer of Nifty 50.
Asian markets rose today
- Most Asian markets are bullish today. China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.16% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 0.68%. Whereas Korea’s Kospi closed down by 1.34%.
- On September 24, the Dow Jones of the US market closed at 42,208 with a rise of 0.20%. The Nasdaq rose 0.56% to 18,074 and the S&P 500 rose 0.25% to 5,732.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,784.14 crore on September 24. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,868.31 crore.
