The stock market has seen a decline today i.e. on 13th August. The Sensex closed at 78,956 with a decline of 692 points. The Nifty also fell by 208 points. It closed at 24,139.
Bank, oil and gas and metal stocks saw a big decline. Consumer durables saw a rise of 1.30%. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 12 saw a rise and 38 saw a decline. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 saw a decline.
Listing of two IPOs: Unicommerce listed up 117% and FirstCry up 40%
- The stock of FirstCry’s parent company Brainbees Solutions was listed on NSE at Rs 651, up 40%. On the other hand, it was listed on BSE at Rs 625, up 34.4%. After listing, it saw further growth and closed at Rs 673.50.
- Unicommerce E-Solutions’ stock was listed on BSE at Rs 230, up 112.96%. On the other hand, it was listed on NSE at Rs 235, up 117.59%. However, after listing, it saw a decline and closed at Rs 211.50.
Asian markets rise: Japan’s stock market rose 3.45%
- Japan’s Nikkei has gained 3.45%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng has gained 0.36%, China’s Shanghai Composite has gained 0.34% and Korea’s Kospi has gained 0.12%.
- On Monday, the US market Dow Jones fell 0.36% and closed at 39,357. Nasdaq also rose 0.21% and closed at 16,780.
- Foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,680.51 crore on August 12. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹4,477.73 crore.
Saraswati Saree IPO: Subscribed 4.45 times on the first day, today is the second day
Today, i.e. 13th August, is the second day of Saraswati Saree Depot Limited’s IPO. This IPO has been subscribed 14.51 times till 4 pm today. Investors will be able to bid for this IPO till 14th August. The shares will be listed in the market on 20th August.
Saraswati Saree has fixed the price band of this issue at ₹152-₹160. Retail investors can bid for a minimum of one lot i.e. 90 shares. If you apply for 1 lot as per the upper price band of the IPO of ₹160, then you will have to invest ₹14,400. Read full news

Earlier, yesterday i.e. on August 12, there was a slight decline in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 79,648 with a decline of 56 points. Nifty also fell by 20 points. It closed at 24,347.
