Saif Ali Khan Attack: On January 16, Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife by a thief who entered his house. According to reports, Saif was sleeping when the thief entered his house, but he woke up after hearing a noise outside. Saif had a scuffle with the thief and he stabbed the actor six times with a knife. After this the actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery and a 2.5 inch piece of knife was removed from his spine. The police have arrested the accused after 60 hours of effort. During police interrogation, it was revealed that he was a Bangladeshi who had entered India illegally.

According to media reports, the police is now trying to find out what was the real motive of the accused. Police are investigating whether the accused actually wanted to kidnap Saif and Kareena’s younger son Jeh or was holding him hostage and demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore. According to the report, either he wanted to steal the house or hold Jeh hostage and demand ransom because he needed money to return to Bangladesh.

Earlier, some reports had revealed that Jeh’s nanny Eliamma was the first to spot the intruder and saw him walking towards Jeh’s bed. In her statement, Naini had said, “When I tried to see who was there, I saw a person coming out of the bathroom and moving towards Jeh Baba’s (Jahangir) bed.”
