New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s opening batsman Prithvi Shaw is in trouble. Prithvi, who is playing county cricket in England, has been summoned again. Mumbai’s Dindoshi Session Court has issued a second summons to Prithvi Shaw and asked him to appear. Prithvi is away from Team India these days. He has been dropped from Team India due to poor performance. Currently he is playing county cricket in England. Prithvi has scored three half-centuries while playing for Northamptonshire. Currently he is looking in great form.
According to media reports, when the first summons were issued to Prithvi Shaw, he did not reach the court. Not only this, no lawyer also reached on his behalf to plead. Now he has been summoned to appear again. Earlier, on April 30, a sessions court in Mumbai had issued summons to cricketer Prithvi Shaw on the petition of social media influencer Sapna Gill. In which she had challenged the orders of a magistrate regarding her complaint against the cricketer.

The debate started over taking selfies
In February 2023, Sapna Gill was arrested along with some others in connection with the attack on Prithvi Shaw after an argument over taking a selfie at a Mumbai hotel. She is currently out on bail. After getting bail in the case, Gill approached the Airport Police Station in Andheri with a complaint of molestation against Prithvi Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadav and others.

Later, Sapna Gill approached the magistrate court after the police did not register a case against Prithvi Shaw. In her complaint, Gill had demanded registration of an FIR under sections 354 (molestation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 324 (intentionally causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadav are accused of allegedly attacking with a bat. A video of Prithvi Shaw had gone viral till now.
