New York: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a packed Nassau Coliseum indoor stadium in Uniondale on Sunday. Thousands of Indian expatriates had gathered in this indoor stadium to welcome PM Modi to America. Indians came to welcome PM Modi wearing traditional clothes and Modi and US shirts. Waving Indian and American flags, PM Modi told the gathering, “Your love is my good fortune. Your talent is unmatched.” Let us tell you that Modi and US is the group which organized this program in New York.
Referring to the contributions made by Indian-Americans to American society, Modi said, “You are the greatest and strongest ambassadors of our country.” The event began with traditional dances by groups of artistes and before PM Modi’s address, singers Hanumankind, Aditya Gadhvi and Devi Sriprasad performed for the energetic crowd.
PM Modi said, “You have connected India with America and America with India. Your skill, talent and commitment are unmatched. Despite being abroad, no ocean can separate you from India.
Prime Minister Modi said, “I have always understood your strength, the strength of NRIs. For me, you have always been India’s strongest brand ambassador. That’s why I call you all ambassadors.”
Referring to the linguistic diversity of the attendees and the Indian diaspora in America, PM Modi said, “The languages are many, but the feeling is one… and that feeling is – Indianness.”
Modi said in his address, “Our biggest strength is to connect with the world. These values naturally make us global.”
He said, “For the world, AI means Artificial Intelligence. But I believe AI means American-Indian. This is the American-Indian spirit and this is the AI power of the world. This AI spirit is taking India-US relations to new heights.”
In his address, he said, “India’s 5G market is bigger than India and this has happened in the last two years. We are working on Made in India 6G. We made policies which promoted this sector. The world’s biggest brands make phones in India. We are the second largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world.
PM Modi further said, “Just yesterday, President Joe Biden took me to his home; His intimacy, his warmth… it was a heart touching moment for me. This honor belongs to 140 crore Indians, this honor belongs to you and your efforts.”
Prime Minister Modi said, “India is not going to stop here. India wants the world’s devices to run on Made in India semiconductor chips. We have announced initiatives for the semiconductor industry”.
He said, “We are the voice representing the Global South, the African Union joining the G20 group is India’s commitment to the objectives of the Global South. When India speaks, the world listens carefully”.
Referring to India’s digital payment services, PM Modi told the attendees, “You have a wallet in your pocket and in India, people have a wallet in their phones. Be it pandemic, natural disasters or civil war, India is ready to act and first to respond.”
