India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to US President Donald Trump over the phone. This is the first conversation between the two after Trump became President. During this, there was a discussion about the relations of Indo-US.
Modi wrote on social media x-
Glad to talk to his dear friend President Donald Trump. He congratulated him for his historical second term. We are committed to mutually beneficial and reliable partnership. We will work together for the welfare and global peace, prosperity and security of our people.
Modi called Trump even after winning the election on 6 November and congratulated him on being elected President again. In this conversation, Trump praised Modi’s popularity and hoped that he would work together in the coming time.

In 2019, the two attended the Houdi Modi program together Modi visited America in September 2019, when ‘Howdy Modi’ program was organized in Texas for Modi. Trump’s announcement, H1-B visa will not be closed
The US President issued more than 100 executive orders after taking oath on January 20. There were also decisions such as immigration and improvement in H1-B visa. However, the next day, Trump took a decision in India’s interest and asked not to shut down the H1-B visa.
He said that America needs talent. We do not only want engineers, other jobs also need best professionals. H-1B is a non-7-megrant visa, under which American companies are allowed to appoint foreign professionals to positions with specific technical skills. Through this visa, thousands of workers from countries like India and China are appointed in America every year.
18,000 illegal immigrants will be sent to India With this, preparations have been made to send back Indians living illegally in America. India has indicated to work closely with the Donald Trump administration to identify and bring them back all its citizens.
Last month in the US, a government institution (ICE), who deals with illegal migrants, made a list of about 1.5 million people, who are living illegally in the US. 18 thousand Indians are part of this list.
