PM Modi met business leaders on the second day of his Singapore visit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Singapore, met business leaders on Thursday. During the round-table meeting, he invited Singapore businessmen to visit India. He said, “Whenever there is a discussion on Paan in India, it is incomplete without Varanasi.”
“I am an MP from Varanasi. If you want to enjoy eating paan, you must invest in Varanasi,” Modi said. During the meeting, the Prime Minister spoke about the changes made in India to promote investment and trade.
Prime Minister Modi was given a ceremonial welcome at the Parliament House in Singapore.
Agreements on semiconductor designing PM Modi arrived at the Singapore Parliament on Thursday morning, where he was welcomed by PM Lawrence Wong. PM Modi told the Singapore PM, “This is our first meeting after you assumed the post of Prime Minister. Singapore is not only a friendly country, but an inspiration for every developing country. We also want to create many Singapores in India. I am happy that we are working together in this direction.”
India and Singapore signed important agreements in the field of semiconductors, digital technology, health cooperation and skill development. According to the agreement, both countries will focus on semiconductors, cluster development, semiconductor designing and manufacturing.
PM Modi held delegation level talks with Lawrence Wong on Thursday. During this, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval were also present.

Several agreements signed between India and Singapore In the Parliament, both the leaders met ministers and delegation members of each other’s countries. Several agreements were signed by the officials of both the countries in the presence of the Prime Minister. Under the agreement, both the countries will cooperate together in the field of digital technology.
This led to an agreement between the two countries to cooperate in areas such as digital technology such as DPI, cyber security, 5G, emerging technologies such as supercomputing, quantum computing and artificial intelligence. Apart from this, an agreement has also been reached between the two countries to enhance the skills of workers and improve the skills of people working in the digital domain.
India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has also signed an agreement with Singapore to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem. Under this, semiconductor clusters will be created in the country and people will be trained in semiconductor design and production.

PM Modi reached Singapore after 6 years Earlier on Wednesday, Modi arrived in Singapore and was welcomed by the people of the Indian community. During this, PM Modi also played the drum. Artists who came to welcome Modi were seen dancing to the tune of the drum. People presented a saffron colored towel to PM Modi.
He chanted ‘Ramchandra ki Jai’ and ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’. During this, a woman also tied a Rakhi to him. During his visit to Singapore, Modi will meet many senior leaders including President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. PM Modi will also meet the leaders of Singapore’s business community.
Prime Minister Modi has visited Singapore after 6 years. Earlier, he had visited Singapore in November 2018.

PM Modi was on a visit to Brunei before Singapore Before his visit to Singapore, PM Modi visited Brunei on 3 and 4 September. During this, PM held a bilateral meeting with Brunei Sultan Bolkiah on Wednesday. Important issues like defence, trade, education, technology and health were discussed between the two leaders.
MoUs were also signed between India and Brunei after the delegation level meeting. They welcomed the decision to start direct flights between Bandar Seri Begawan and Chennai.
Apart from this, the two leaders also discussed regional and global issues. During this, they agreed to work for the development of ASEAN countries. The Sultan of Brunei also hosted lunch in the world’s largest palace ‘Istana Nurul Iman’ in honor of PM Modi.
PM Modi said, “I was warmly welcomed in Brunei, for which I thank the royal family. This is the first bilateral visit of an Indian PM to Brunei. The warmth I received here made me realize the centuries-old relations between the two countries.”
