Agency, Islamabad (Pakistan Women Cricket Team). The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stopped the daily allowance of the women’s cricket team participating in the national camp. This has caused disappointment among the women cricketers, as this facility is being given to the men’s team.
PCB officials say that during the national camp, the board has made arrangements for the accommodation of the women cricketers. Also, three meals a day are being provided. Due to this, the daily allowance has been stopped.
Training camp is going on in Multan, series is to be held against South Africa
- The training camp of Pakistan women’s cricket team is going on in Multan, where preparations are underway for the home series against South Africa.
- The South African team has reached Multan to play the T20 series. This tour is important before the T20 World Cup to be held in UAE next month.
- There is disappointment among the women players because the men’s team is being given a daily allowance by the PCB. This includes two meals a day.
- The women players are also awaiting the announcement of their central contracts, which has already been delayed by over a month.

Woman Cricketers The decision to cut the allowances for mentors has come at a time when the board is paying a monthly salary of Rs 50 lakh to five mentors of teams in the ongoing Champions Cup in Faisalabad. Apart from this, crores are being spent on various cricket related projects.
The board is also spending around $12.8 billion on renovating three Test venues in the country ahead of the Champions Trophy early next year.
“What difference a few lakh rupees will make to the board is anybody’s guess but it is likely to cause discontent in women’s cricket,” said a former Pakistan player.
