Washington: America has accused an Indian officer of involvement in the failed conspiracy to murder Khalistani Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. However, India has been denying the allegations and has asked America to provide evidence. America’s allegations are now going to turn milk into milk and water into water. India has sent its investigation team to America to investigate the allegations. The Indian Investigation Committee reached America on Tuesday to investigate the Pannu case. This team includes India’s Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri and officers of the National Security Council Secretariat.

The US State Department has informed that the Indian investigative committee formed to investigate the allegations of involvement of an Indian government official in the failed conspiracy to assassinate American citizen Khalistani Pannu reached Washington on Tuesday. The investigating committee will talk to American officials on the information received as part of its investigation and will get the latest information from the officials here. It has been told that the Indian team has gone to America with a bundle of evidence.

India established the committee to investigate the activities of certain organized criminals and is actively investigating the individual, identified in a Justice Department indictment last year as an Indian government employee. He was accused of directing a conspiracy to murder an American citizen in New York City, but the conspiracy failed. According to the US State Department, India has informed the US that they are continuing their efforts to investigate other connections of the former government employee and will decide on further action as necessary.

In November last year, US federal prosecutors had accused Indian national Nikhil Gupta of collaborating with an Indian government official in a plot to assassinate Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in New York. Nikhil Gupta was arrested in Czech Republic in June last year and was extradited to America on June 14. India has denied the allegations, but has formed an internal investigation team to investigate. US federal prosecutors had alleged that Nikhil Gupta was working with an Indian government employee and had promised to pay US$100,000 to an assassin to kill Pannu, who lived in New York City.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is a terrorist for India. He is an American citizen. Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is the leader of Khalistani separatist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). Pannu, a dual citizen of the US and Canada, was born in Khankot village on the outskirts of Amritsar and is the son of Mahinder Singh, a former employee of the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board. He graduated from Panjab University in the 1990s and reportedly founded SFJ in 2007. He was a senior systems analyst at the finance firm Merrill Lynch from 1997 to 2002 while attending law school in New York. Before this he had obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
