Dhaka: The troubles of Sheikh Hasina, who has left Bangladesh, are increasing continuously. Two new cases of murder have been registered against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the case of death of two people during the protest against reservation in Bangladesh. Along with Sheikh Hasina, a case has also been registered against former ministers of her government. This is the latest case in the series of cases registered against the 76-year-old former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 5 and went to India after massive protests by students against the quota system in government jobs. Now there are a total of 15 cases against Sheikh Hasina.
According to the news of state news agency BSS, separate cases have been registered against Sheikh Hasina for the murder of Liton Hasan Lalu alias Hasan in Mirpur area and Tariq Hussain in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area. This violence had forced Hasina to be ousted from power. Liton’s brother has filed a case in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehdi Hasan against 148 people including Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdullah Al Mamun and others.
According to the case documents, Liton had joined a peaceful procession as part of the student movement in Mirpur area on August 4. At around 2 pm, people from Hasina’s Awami League party started firing indiscriminately on the procession, injuring Hasan and he later died. Meanwhile, Tariq’s mother Fidushi Khatun filed another case against 13 people, including Hasina, former Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Kamal, former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat.
According to the report, Tariq was shot by unknown miscreants in front of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on August 5 and died on August 9. This has increased the number of cases registered against Hasina after her removal from the post to fifteen. According to the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, Mohammad Milan’s wife Shahnaz Begum filed another murder case late on Sunday night. Milan was shot dead on July 21 while returning home from the local fish market. 62 people, including Hasina, former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Quader, former MLA Shamim Osman and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, have been made accused in this case.
According to the news, the leaders and workers of Hasina-led Awami League and its allied organizations, armed with firearms and sticks, obstructed the traffic on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway to disrupt the student movement. According to the news, it is alleged that Hasina, Quader and Asaduzzaman ordered firing and attack on the protesting students and common people. The news said that Milan, who was returning home from the fish market at that time, was shot in the chest and fell on the road, after which he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
