New Delhi. Nepal has registered a spectacular victory in the first match of the T20 series being played between Nepal and USA. Nepal defeated America by 17 runs in the first T20 match. Nepal won the match despite losing the toss. America won the toss and decided to bowl first, which did not prove to be effective for them. Rohit Paudel played a brilliant innings for Nepal.
Nepal team came to bat after losing the toss. Asif Sheikh and Anil Shah came out to bat first for Nepal. Both Asif and Anil played innings of 27-27 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel, who came to bat at number four, played a brilliant inning of 49 runs. In his innings he hit 4 fours and 1 six. In the end Deependra Singh played a good inning of 28 runs. On the basis of which Nepal scored 164 runs.
Now it was America’s turn to chase. America’s team could score only 147 runs in 20 overs. Shayan Jahangir scored 60 runs for his team but could not win the match. Jahangir remained till the end and played an unbeaten inning of 60 runs. Apart from Jahangir, Andries Gaus played an inning of 30 runs. Apart from this, 5 players were out on single digit scores only. In this way Nepal won the match by 17 runs.
Deependra Airey took 3 wickets
Deependra Airey bowled brilliantly for Nepal and took a total of 3 wickets. He took the wickets of Milind Kumar, Harmeet Singh and Jasdeep Singh. Apart from this, he also made a run out in the form of Aaron Jones. This was the first T20 match between the two teams.
