NCERT Breaks records of book publishing know how many textbooks print in this year


NCERT is going to create a new record in publishing books. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will print 15 crore books this year, increasing the publication of textbooks by three times. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced this, which is almost three times more than last year.

Recently, an MoU was signed between NCERT and Amazon, in which the aim is to make NCERT textbooks available on the online platform. The Education Minister said, NCERT has been publishing textbooks since 1963, which has shaped the education landscape of India. Till now about 220 crore books and magazines have been published. NCERT is a major think tank for the country.

Dharmendra Pradhan said that these books will be made available in about 20,000 pin codes across the country. He also ensured that the books would be available at Maximum Retail Price (MRP) only. The Education Minister urged to make the learning process more effective for 300 million students in the ‘Amrit Kaal’.

Emphasis on e-books

The minister also laid emphasis on the development of e-books. He told that these books will be interactive and AI-powered, which will include innovations like talking books. This effort will not only improve the education of the students but will also give them an opportunity to acquire knowledge through digital medium.

Books will be available online

NCERT textbooks of all grades will be made available on online platforms, which will help students access them easily. This step signals a new revolution in the field of education, in which technology and knowledge will be coordinated.
