Monkeypox: Monkeypox has started scaring like corona! 100 deaths so far, patient found outside Africa too

The world had not yet recovered from the fear of Corona that now the threat of Monkeypox (Mpox health emergency) has come to the fore. It has started to scare just like Corona. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global health emergency regarding this. But after a few hours it was found that this disease has spread outside Africa. Its first patient has been found in Sweden. So far more than 100 people have died from this disease in African countries.

Officials of Sweden’s Public Health Service said that the person who has been confirmed to be infected with monkeypox had returned from Africa a few days ago. He is currently infected with the Ampox Clade 1 variant. He is undergoing treatment in Stockholm. According to epidemiologist Magnus Gislen, it is believed that this patient has returned after traveling to an area of Africa where the Ampox Clade I variant is prevalent. Patients suffering from Ampox have been treated before, but this time the agency is more cautious.

450 people had died then
The most worrying thing is that this is the second time in two years that WHO has had to declare a global health emergency due to this. Earlier, an outbreak of a new variant was seen in the Democratic Republic of Congo. At that time, at least 450 people died due to this infection. It spread rapidly in the areas of Central and East Africa. But now more than 15 countries have come under the grip of the infection that is spreading. The ‘Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’ said earlier this week that more than 500 deaths have occurred due to monkeypox so far. The world should be alert.

WHO declared this disease a public health emergency, know how dangerous is Mpox, how much do we need to fear

There is more concern about the Clade 1 variant
Sweden’s Minister of Social Affairs Jacob Forsmed said that there are two types of ampox. Clade 1 and Clade 2. In 2022, the outbreak of the Clade 2 variant was more. Its patient was also found in Sweden. But later it was considered quite mild. But the way the infection is spreading from the Clade 1 variant is a matter of concern. ampox spreads through physical contact. It causes lumpy rashes on the body. There is high fever. The body starts shivering due to unbearable pain. So far there is not much information about its treatment.
