Maruti Ertiga Sales: Maruti Ertiga took the arrogance out of the competition, beat two cars, became number 1 in 7-seater

New Delhi. Whenever 7-seater cars are mentioned, the first name that comes to mind is Maruti Ertiga. Ertiga is the most liked car in its segment. Although many cars were launched in its competition, no car could be as successful as Ertiga. Talking about the sales of last month, Ertiga’s sales have increased by 89% on year-on-year basis and its total sales have been 15,209 units.

At the same time, the sales of two budget 7-seater cars in this segment were much less than Ertiga. Here we are talking about Kia Carens and Toyota Rumion MPV, which sold only 5,154 units and 1,566 units respectively in June 2024. Due to low sales figures, both the cars were out of the list of top-25 cars sold in India last month.

What is special in Maruti Ertiga?
The company offers Ertiga in the budget MPV segment. It is being sold in four variants LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. Its ZXi and VXi+ trims are also available with CNG. Its ex-showroom price in Delhi is between Rs 8.64 lakh and Rs 13.08 lakh. The most special thing about Ertiga is its mileage. This car gives a certified mileage of 20.3 kilometers in one liter of petrol and 26.11 kilometers in one kilo of CNG.

Engine and gearbox
Maruti Ertiga gets a 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 102bhp and a torque of 136.8Nm. This engine is available with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. Its CNG variant is available in a 5-speed manual gearbox. In CNG mode, this car generates 87bhp of power and 121.5Nm of torque.

The design is fantastic
Ertiga is no less in terms of looks and design. It feels like a big SUV when you drive it. It also gives a good road presence on the road. Ertiga has a big grill with chrome treatment in the front and a wide bumper. It also has projector headlights, fog lamps and chrome accents on the grill. Its interior is quite spacious and you will feel like you are in a big car as soon as you sit in it. The new generation Maruti Ertiga has also achieved a 3-star GNCAP safety rating.
