This is the same Andy Jassy who is going to take over as the CEO of Amazon, America’s third most valuable company after Apple and Microsoft. 53-year-old Jassy has been a part of Bezos’ very special group, which is called the ‘S-Team’. In the year 2019, Amazon paid $3,48,809 to Jassy, which is about Rs 2,54,40,384. The surprising thing is that in 2018, Jassy received more than $19 million as a stock award. According to the company’s latest proxy statement, it is said that Jassy had 85,000 shares of the company, which are worth more than $287 million. However, last year Jassy had less than 1 lakh shares.

According to Amazon’s latest statement, AWS revenue jumped 28% to $12.7 billion in the fourth quarter. Operating income grew 37% to $3.56 billion, which is 52% of Amazon’s total operating profit.
