What is Godhra incident?
In the year 2002, it was the month of February, the date was 27. This was the same ill-fated day when S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express was set on fire at a place named Godhra in Gujarat. Karsevaks were traveling in this coach, who were coming from Ayodhya. 59 people burnt to death in this fire.

A day after the Godhra incident, on 28th February, the country witnessed one of the biggest tragedies after independence. Riots engulfed entire Gujarat. Ahmedabad and its surrounding areas remained in the grip of this tragedy for about 3 months. Nearly 1000 people lost their lives in these communal riots.

A few days after this incident, on March 2, he formed the Nanavati-Shah Commission to investigate the Godhra incident. Godhra incident was a well thought out conspiracy
This commission presented the first part of the report in September 2008, in which the incident was described as a well-planned conspiracy. And clean chit was given to the then CM Modi and many senior officers including ministers.
- After the death of Judge KG Shah, a member of this commission, in 2009, retired Gujarat High Court judge Justice Akshay Mehta was made a member in his place and the name of the commission was changed from Nanavati-Shah Commission to Nanavati-Mehta Commission.
- This commission also presented the second part of its report 10 years later in the year 2019. In this also the same thing was repeated which was in the first part. That is, this incident was described as a well-planned conspiracy.

Actor Vikrant Massey has said in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar Do that the whole world covered the Gujarat riots of 28th February but what happened to the Godhra incident that happened a day before that. There is still not much talk about it.
Vikrant further said – Out of the 59 people who died in this incident, people do not even know the names of 3 of them. This is a matter of great misfortune.
